The Job

You'll be carrying out a mixture of HGV Class 1 night trunking and general haulage duties, depending on the assignment.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Driving articulated HGV Class 1 vehicles

  • Depot-to-depot and RDC trunking

  • Trailer collections and deliveries

  • Curtain-sided trailer work

  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers

  • Completing delivery paperwork

  • Daily vehicle and trailer safety checks

  • Following drivers' hours and tachograph regulations

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence

  • Valid Driver CPC

  • Digital Tachograph Card

  • Previous Class 1 driving experience

  • Experience of trunking or general haulage preferred

  • Confidence reversing and manoeuvring articulated vehicles

  • Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations

  • Reliable timekeeping and a professional attitude
