HGV Class 1 Container Driver – Regular Work for the Rest of the Year

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Container Driverlooking for regular, well-paid driving work in the Walsall / Aldridge area?

Drivers Today are recruiting an experienced Class 1 / C+E Container Driverfor a long-term contract based in Aldridge, West Midlands.

This is not occasional agency cover. We have a block booking available for the rest of the year, giving the right driver regular Monday-to-Friday work and approximately 50 hours per week.

£20 Per Hour – Around 50 Hours Per Week

You'll be paid:

£20.00 per hour PAYE including holiday pay

OR

LTD Company drivers are welcome

Based on a typical 50-hour week, that's approximately £1,000 gross per week, depending on the actual hours worked.

What You'll Be Doing

This is regular HGV Class 1 container workoperating from Aldridge.

The role includes:

  • Driving HGV Class 1 / Category C+E vehicles

  • Container collections and deliveries

  • Operating skeletal trailers

  • Monday-to-Friday day work

  • Start times between 06:00 and 08:00

  • Approximately 50 hours per week

  • Local, regional and longer-distance container movements as required

  • Completing relevant transport and container paperwork

  • Safe use of twist locks and load-security procedures

Container Experience IS Required – Dock Card IS NOT

Please note that previous HGV container driving experience is essentialfor this vacancy.

However, you do NOT need a dock card.

If you've previously pulled containers and understand skeletal trailers, twist locks and container procedures, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Need

  • HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E licence

  • Valid Driver CPC

  • Digital Tachograph Card

  • Previous container driving experience

  • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations

  • Reliable and professional approach
